Do you offer in person sessions?

Starting in March 2024 I will be offering in home therapy to clients living in Montgomery County, TX. Serving those living in (Conroe, The Woodlands, Montgomery, Magnolia, Willis, and Spring). Call 970-795-2100 to learn more. For those living outside of Montgomery County, TX I offer online counseling and use a platform called Simple Practice. It is my electronic health record and where all the telehealth appointments are held. I am licensed to work with residents in both Colorado and Texas.

Are there benefits to telehealth?

Yes, many! Telehealth offers the benefits of saving time and gas driving to and from sessions. You may have a session from the comfort of your own home or even on your lunch hour at work! Since sessions come to you it can benefit families who would maybe need to find childcare if they were coming to an office setting for their session.

This mode of delivery is beneficial for clients who lack transportation during the day or maybe live in a rural area where access to services is limited or outside your general area.

Research and client feedback reveal that sessions provided through Televideo is just as effective as in person sessions and there is no difference in the progress clients make compared to in person sessions.

Is Therapy right for me?

Therapy can be beneficial for everyone. There is always opportunity to learn and grow no matter what age we are. Whether it is through meeting with someone for an unbiased perspective, learning techniques to manage depression and/or anxiety, or to have someone there for you as a support and guide through a challenging time. Therapy can be that for you. Why continue to struggle through each day, when there can be relief?

what is your approach when working with clients?

My approach is a mix of processing through feelings, thoughts, and situations along with identifying practical tools and strategies you can use outside of sessions. I work from a collaborative approach based on what you want to work on in therapy. Methods I use in therapy: An integrative approach of Mindfulness Based interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

What is the average length of treatment?

Treatment length on can range from 12-18 sessions. Time in treatment may be longer or shorter. Each person's process in therapy is different and there is no right or wrong for how long a person is receiving care.
