We all remember being a teenager and nowadays our teens are faced with even more challenges and situations to figure out than when we were young. Ranging from social media, technology and its impact on our relationships, school violence, bullying, and teen suicide.

My work with teens

I have been working with adolescents for the last 11 years, providing in home family therapy to at risk teens struggling with anger, disruptive behaviors, on the verge of out of home placement, to school based therapy at a K-12 providing individual, group, and family therapy. At the school, students presented with suicidal thoughts, self-harm, anxiety, depression, anger issues, trauma, and disruptive behaviors in class. I then transitioned to managing a school day treatment program with the integration of special education and mental health. Day treatment population served involved those whose mental health symptoms significantly impacted their access to their education. From either frequent outbursts in a school setting, multiple hospitalizations, and those with complex trauma histories.

If your teen is struggling with any of the symptoms listed here, I would love to connect with you and discuss how I can be of service to you and your family. You know your child best, let’s work together in finding solutions for your teen to help them be successful.
